Hey, Team. I hope you’ve been getting the updates from my team on the latest from our campaign, but I wanted to reach out to you directly with an update on what I’m working on for Illinois.
It has been so rewarding to meet with constituents and hear your experiences firsthand. I’ve taken those conversations with me to Washington, and forged bipartisan relationships to create meaningful solutions addressing those most important issues to our communities.
I’ve been encouraging efforts to address the pain folks are feeling at the pump by lowering gas prices and increasing ethanol availability, which supports our farmers, too. I’m fighting against far-right GOP efforts to force a government shutdown in debt ceiling discussions. And alongside Senator Durbin and Senator Duckworth, I secured millions in federal funds to modernize our rail system and improve transportation access and efficiency across the state.
