Iowa Was a Great Start — But We Need to Keep Fighting
Bernie's 6,000-vote lead in Monday's Iowa caucuses showed us that we can and will win. But this week has also reinforced what we already knew: that this win won't come easy.
So if you're ready to keep fighting for our future, join us for canvassing this Sunday. We'll be engaging voters on Bernie's platform as well as local issues relevant in the 2021 Chattanooga City Council elections.
Sunday, February 9
2–4:30 p.m.
Meet at Mountain Creek Park: 1102 Mountain Creek Rd
We'll meet for a quick training, and from there we'll knock on doors. If you have a smart phone, be sure to charge it beforehand — we'll be using an app (MiniVAN) to canvass.

And mark your calendars for other upcoming canvass events. We'll be knocking on doors every weekend until Super Tuesday (that's March 3rd). Every canvass is from 2:00–4:30 p.m. We'll be all over Chattanooga:
February 9: Mountain Creek
Meet at Mountain Creek Park: 1102 Mountain Creek Rd
February 15: Lupton City/Stuart Heights
Meet in Walmart Market Parking Lot: 3901 Hixson Pike
February 23: Downtown II (Westside)
Meet at Renaissance Presbyterian 1211 Boynton Dr
February 29: Northgate I
Meet at Lowes 5428 Highway 153
March 1: TBA
These events are for everyone! If you have never knocked a door in your life or if you have knocked too many to count, you are welcome. We will have a short training at the beginning of the canvass to make sure everyone has all the materials they need and gets all their questions answered. Don't worry if you don't know all the nitty gritty details of the policy or proposals — the most important thing is talking to folks about why YOU support Bernie and listening to what issues are most important to them. We will be pairing up to go knock so you will always have a buddy to lean on if you have any questions.
Bernie can and will win, but he needs our help to get across the finish line. Knocking on doors and talking to voters is the single most important thing we can do to make sure Bernie is our next president.
We hope to see you this Sunday. (And bring your friends!)
In Solidarity,
Chattanooga DSA
