Hi John,
Are you interested in organizing a caucus at Netroots Nation? Here’s your chance! We're opening up several rooms and time slots to community members like you to organize as you wish.
Got an idea for a caucus? Click here for more information and to submit your idea.
Caucuses are community-driven spaces that foster discussion around a policy area or issues within a specific identity or affinity group. Caucuses are not panels or training sessions. If you are selected to host a caucus, your job will be to facilitate discussion among the group on the given topic.
You can choose from three types of sessions (or pitch us your own concept):
-
Issue Caucus: These are facilitated discussions about an issue or policy area. All are welcome to attend and participate. Examples: Labor caucus, immigration caucus
-
Open Identity Caucus: Discussions led by and centered on specific identities, but are open to all. Examples: Parents caucus, Youth caucus, Black caucus, LGBTQ+ caucus
-
Closed Identity Caucus: Discussions led by and centered on specific identities, but are limited to those who so affiliate.
-
Geographic Caucus: Discussions on a state or regional level. Examples: Illinois caucus, Southeast caucus
We'll do our best to give you a time slot. Please take a look at the guidelines and use the submission form to send us your idea.
See you in July!
