John, Florida state lawmakers just finished their legislative session, and I’ll sum it up for you:
It was bad. Bad for Floridians, bad for marginalized communities, and bad for America.
Why? Because Ron DeSantis pushed extreme legislation to secure far-right billionaire donors for his Presidential campaign.
That’s why we’re fighting back by organizing year-round – to bring more people into our movement, mobilize voters to end DeSantis’ fascist agenda, and elect Democrats in crucial local positions.
But John, I’m counting on grassroots donors like you to fuel our organizing efforts so we can reach more voters. We’re still $9,487 short of our budget goals, so I’m asking: Will you pitch in $27 to help us fight for a future without fascism in Florida? >>
Here are just a few of the horrific bills that Florida’s Republican majority has sent to Ron DeSantis’ desk:
- A six-week abortion ban
- A bill that legalized concealed carry without a permit
- A bill eliminating the need for unanimous jury decisions for the death penalty
- A cruel anti-immigration bill that will harm our undocumented neighbors and Florida’s economy
- A bill that bans vaccine and mask mandates
We can protect Floridians by stopping more bills like these, but can’t do that without sustained, grassroots support from people like you, who are ready to fight back against these attacks.
Can I count on you to chip in to help me out-organize Ron DeSantis and elect Democrats who will protect our rights? >>
In Solidarity,
Maxwell Frost
