John – Right now, three conservative federal judges are holding a hearing on the legality of mifepristone, one drug of the two-step abortion pill regimen — the most common form of abortion in the country. 

This comes after a judge in Texas reversed FDA approval, several other judges issued opposing rulings, and then the Supreme Court stepped in to say mifepristone could remain available as the case worked its way through the courts. 

Now the case is on the bench of three Republican-appointed judges who have been hostile to abortion rights in the past. Once again, our human rights and bodily autonomy are in the hands of conservative, white, anti-choice men — appointed by George W. Bush and Donald Trump, two men who both lost the popular vote.

It’s anti-democratic, un-American, and a straight-up horror that our rights are on the chopping block once again today. We’re bracing for the outcome of this case, and in order to prepare for all possible scenarios, we’re building up an action fund to fight back. Whatever the result, we’ll be working hard to restore reproductive rights in this country.
