Friend – this morning, I questioned the former executives of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank during a Senate hearing.

Executives got rich off of mismanaging these banks. It's time the American people get some answers – and as chair of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, I'm committed to making sure this never happens again.

Only in corporate boardrooms can you run your business into the ground, take the economy with you, and somehow manage to come out ahead. We've seen this play out time and time again, and I'm sick and tired of it.

Workers make one mistake – like overdrafting an account – and get dinged with fees and penalties. But when bank executives and giant Wall Street firms do something much worse – like run their bank into the ground and crash our economy – they're given a golden parachute.

It's time these bank executives and big corporations face accountability. I'm leading the charge in the Senate, but if we're going to get this done, I need to know you're with me.

Please, before midnight tonight, will you add your name to my urgent petition and let me know you're in this fight with me?

Thanks for speaking out.
