Earlier today, we launched our May Giving Challenge with a big goal: Unlock a $5,000 gift to protect birds and their habitats from increasingly severe weather driven by climate change.

We’re still looking for 35 more caring friends like you to join us with a monthly gift to reach our goal. As the climate crisis worsens, intense storms will only become more common—and more deadly for birds and people alike.
So please, start your monthly gift right away and help unlock $5,000 for the Piping Plover and all the birds we love. ([link removed])

Rising water levels destroying nests and killing chicks. Severe storms washing away entire nesting areas. This isn’t some far-off worst-case scenario—it’s the current nightmare facing birds like the beloved Piping Plover.
If climate change continues unchecked, more extreme weather lies ahead, worsening the impacts on birds and their habitats. We're not going to sit by and let that happen—and we know you won't, either. So please, be one of 35 supporters we’re relying on to start a monthly gift today. When you do, thanks to a generous group of donors, you’ll help unlock an additional $5,000 in support to help bring birds back from the brink. ([link removed])
Birds can’t escape the impacts of extreme weather
The Piping Plover is an endangered or threatened species in all parts of their range.
389 North American bird species are at increasing risk of climate extinction.
We’ve lost 3 billion birds in the span of a human lifetime.
We’re in the midst of a code-red crisis. But because birds have been telling us for quite some time that we must act—and because we have listened—we’re already protecting vulnerable birds in every landscape where we work. With the support of generous people like you, we've helped Piping Plover populations rebound, creating a blueprint for protecting vulnerable birds across a wide range of habitats.
You give birds their best chance at survival when you join our efforts: the rigorous research, committed advocacy, empowering education, and hands-on conservation that makes up over a century of work. We’re looking for 35 bird lovers to start a monthly gift right away to help build a safer future for birds—and when you give today, you’ll help unlock $5,000 in additional support. ([link removed])
