If you know anything about me, then you know I will defend American manufacturing and Michigan’s working families with everything I have.

Manufacturing is not only the economic engine of the Midwest, it’s the heart of our district. MI-11 alone has a GDP larger than 14 states.

I’ve been watching the threat China has posed on our domestic manufacturing closely, and that’s when I knew I wanted to serve on the Select Committee on the Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as part of my role in the House of Representatives.

As a nation, we’ve relied on China for critical resources for far too long. We need a more balanced relationship – one that relies less on imports from countries that don't share our interests, and more on supporting our own automotive suppliers, advanced manufacturers, and working families.

Not only to boost our economy, but to protect and strengthen our national security.

I’m eager to continue the work to enhance our global competitiveness and security. But to keep going, I need to keep my seat in Congress and help elect other Michigan Democrats to join the fight.
