I just forced a House floor vote on the expulsion of George Santos from Congress.

It’s time for Kevin McCarthy to act. House Republicans now have 48 hours to schedule a vote. I’m forcing them to go on the record about whether they support this admitted liar and fraud, or whether they will choose accountability.

From where I stand, the choice is simple. We must come together as Congress to expel George Santos. He is a fraud, a liar, and deceived his voters. It’s time for him to go.

News that federal prosecutors are filing 13 criminal charges against George Santos should have been the final straw for Kevin McCarthy to realize the danger Santos poses to our democracy, but he refuses to act.

Now, Republicans have a chance to demonstrate to Americans that nobody is above the law and you cannot lie your way into Congress.
