[6 months out from the primary election, Derek Kilmer is already pulling money out of his $3.4 million war chest in an attempt to defeat us. Can you rush a donation now to show him it’s not going to work? We need $500 today to meet our fundraising goal to pay our Field Director.]

For someone who hasn’t publicly acknowledged our campaign in WA-06, Derek Kilmer sure does seem to be paying attention.

First, we’ve received three separate reports that suggest Kilmer — or someone on his behalf — is running a poll asking voters for their opinions on my campaign. They also asked whether they agree with the statement that Derek Kilmer is a corporate sellout and it’s time to let another Democrat lead.

I think you know the answer.

Second, we’ve received a report that Kilmer’s aides have asked that he be given tough questions at an upcoming community meeting.

This is quite unlike the man who:

1. Said he “resents the implication” when a voter commented on his stance on Medicare for All in relation to the $695,857 he’s taken from the health sector (per OpenSecrets).

2. Gives non-answers to every question he’s asked about progressive priorities like Medicare for All and the Green New Deal.

3. Simply ignores people he doesn’t want to talk to.

Looks like someone is taking notice of our strong campaign.  

Makes sense, since he’s never — in the 15 years he’s been in state and federal office — faced a serious Democratic challenger. Our team, however, is mounting a real challenge to Corporate Kilmer and has already raised more than all of his 2018 challengers combined.
