John,
President Biden penned an op-ed with yet another plea to Congress: For God’s sake, do something.
The recent shootings with an assault weapon in Allen, TX, and Nashville, TN, are a reminder that these shootings will not end without lifesaving action – so we are joining Biden's urgent call: “Now, we must build an even bigger, unrelenting coalition demanding that Congress pass additional gun safety legislation.”
We are calling on 5,000 dedicated activists to join President Biden and Brady in calling on Congress to ban assault weapons NOW. >>

Biden also announced thirteen actions his Administration is taking right now to maximize the benefits of the historic Bipartisan Safer Communities Act that was passed last year. These actions, and his urgent call, come as we mark one year since two tragic mass shootings in Buffalo, NY, when a racist gunman used an assault weapon to kill 10 Black people, and in Uvalde, TX, when a lone gunman shot and killed 19 children and two adults with an AR-15.
Biden has been steadfast both in his personal efforts to address the nation’s gun violence epidemic and in his appeal to Congress to follow his lead. Yet, the NRA money-riddled legislative body has remained stagnant – seemingly ignoring the deaths of even more children and adults since those heinous shootings last year.
These weapons of war do not belong on our streets nor in our schools, John, and each day our lawmakers fail to act is another that Americans are at risk. Will you join the president, Brady, and gun violence prevention activists across the country in speaking out today? Tell Congress: This is life or death. TAKE ACTION TO BAN ASSAULT WEAPONS. >>
