Border communities like ours are so often overlooked — but the reality is that TX-15 is the most competitive race in Texas and one of our best shots at turning Texas blue and taking back the House.

I’m running for Congress because I see just how hard everyday, working people are struggling just to get by. Juntos, we have a chance to build a better future for South Texas and for ALL of us — including you, John.

We’re at a critical moment for the future of Texas. Republican politicians like Ted Cruz and Monica De La Cruz in TX-15 make a lot of promises — but in Congress, their records tell a different story. One full of devastating budget cuts from slashing veterans’ health care to taking away millions from our schools, to even jeopardizing Medicare and Social Security. On top of that, they’d let the government interfere in women’s private medical decisions and take away our right to choose what to do with our bodies.

We need real leadership in Congress — someone who is ready to stand up and fight the hard battles to protect our rights to vote, to make choices about our own bodies, and to thriving, healthy communities.

I’m not afraid of the fight ahead because I’ve been underestimated and questioned before. But instead of letting that change me, I chose to proudly represent my roots through my education and work. It’s why I decided to return to the Rio Grande Valley and get to work.

John, we have a chance to take back the House AND the state of Texas. The path to turning Texas blue runs through TX-15, and that’s why I’m asking you to step up and make a split contribution between this campaign and Voter Protection Project.
