Team, President Obama recently said, “Redistricting is no longer a once-a-decade event. The fight for fair maps is happening right now.”

He’s right. Key states could redraw their Congressional districts before the next election – and the makeup of those maps could determine which party wins the House majority.

Ahead of last November’s elections, our movement helped secure what the New York Times called “the fairest House map of the last 40 years” – but the GOP is already trying to roll back that progress:

“Republicans are readying to plow ahead with ambitious gerrymandering . . . [they] could more than double their five-seat House majority through redistricting alone.”

– POLITICO

A.G. Holder: “We know Republican operatives now view redistricting as an every-cycle fight, and we can't afford to let their plans to manipulate the playing field go unchallenged.”

Team, the NDRC is committed to this fight for the long haul, so we’ll keep working to secure fair maps state by state across the country. Will you donate now to help us keep going?
