John, our power comes from the people.
We depend on grassroots fundraising for the bulk of our financial needs — and we’re proud to do so. It means we have to stretch our budgets further sometimes and hustle a little harder for every last dollar, but this is a ground-up movement. That’s how it should be.
But the fact is, only about 1 in every 2,500 people who get our emails make a donation — and our records indicate that you haven’t chipped in yet (apologies if this is incorrect! If you donated under a different email address, our system may not reflect your gift.)
We can only sustain our activism if folks like you take ownership of this movement by funding our work, and a little really does go a long way.
