Act now to save the teak forests of Myanmar

Hello John,

Myanmar has some of the largest expanses of natural forest remaining in Asia.

But these forests are being destroyed at a devastating rate. Between 2000 and 2020, an area larger than the size of Switzerland was lost.

As an EIA supporter, you’ll appreciate why this matters so much.

Myanmar is one of the world’s most important biodiversity areas, home to a huge range of animals and plants. More than 200 globally threatened species live in Myanmar’s forests, including elephants, tigers, sun bears and the Myanmar snub-nosed monkey.

Are you able to make a gift to help us protect endangered species and the forests of Myanmar?
