I’ll try to keep this brief, John.

Tomorrow at midnight marks the midway point of the current fundraising quarter, but as it stands, we are not quite halfway toward meeting our quarterly goal. We’re pacing a bit behind.

In the past week we got two big pieces of news that have made this fundraising deadline more urgent than usual. A new Republican opponent just launched their campaign to unseat me. This candidate is a known self-funder who election watchers consider a “credible threat.”

Quickly after, the National Republicans launched an "ad blitz" aimed at the most vulnerable Democratic incumbents in the country. We were included, and are now being hit with digital attacks right here in the district.

If you haven’t donated recently, I hope you’ll consider chipping in $3 before midnight to help get us back on track to meet our quarterly fundraising goal.

Truth be told, fundraising has taken a back seat over the past few weeks. I've been hard at work defending veterans' benefits from GOP cuts, protecting our coastlines, and leading the Democrats' effort to expand renewable energy projects. Thanks to your ongoing support, we've been able to make incredible headway on these issues and more.

But with the Republicans now trying to water with misleading claims about our work, we need to get the facts out about my record -- on both national and local issues. That’s where you come in:
