John, this is an urgent update on the continuing fight to keep Social Security and Medicare alive with the current Republican House majority.

In order to hold debt ceiling discussions hostage, the GOP is considering deep cuts to what we need to continue living in an already restrictive economic situation.

That means not only retirement benefits, but healthcare, education, and all the things the lower and middle-class rely on to stay ahead of drowning in expenses.

When asked about implementing work requirements to things like SNAP benefits, Kevin McCarthy said "We're talking about all [of] the programs."

The GOP will say anything to divert us from this fact, but they have been on record for decades stating that they will be coming for the lifelines we depend on.

John, this is URGENT. We have to stop them. We need to get the message out, put the pressure on, and halt this newest scheme to steal from the American people. Please, chip in today as this CANNOT wait.
