Dear John,

Endangered Species Day is just around the corner, and wildlife is
counting on your support. If you've already made a donation,
thank you so much. If you haven't given yet, there's still
time to make a difference.

With threats like climate change and habitat loss intensifying, now is
a critical time to take action to save endangered species like
Przewalski's horses, the last true wild horse.

Less than 2000 Przewalski's Horses are left in the world

Why they need you-All living Przewalski's horses were
descended from 12 individuals-until the birth of Kurt.
He's the first-ever clone of a Przewalski's horse and
calls the San Diego Zoo Safari Park home.

When You Give-You spark hope for these wild horses. Kurt was
cloned using the DNA of a stallion that lived 42 years ago and whose
DNA was previously absent from the living population.

Why it matters-"Kurt is significant to his species because he
offers the hope of bringing back lost genetic diversity to the
population." - Nadine Lamberski, DVM, Chief Conservation and
Wildlife Health Officer, San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance
