Calling Prayer Volunteers at MOAC23
The Sessions team is recruiting volunteers to serve on the Prayer Team during the 2023 Missouri Annual Conference being held on June 9-11 in St. Charles. There are three different prayer roles available for volunteers:
Lobby Prayer Chapel – Located in the main lobby of the St. Charles Convention Center, volunteers will be available to pray with attendees if asked AND be present to invite attendees to experience the onsite Prayer Loom.
Exhibit Hall – Located along the side of the main exhibit hall of the St. Charles Convention Center, volunteers will be available to pray with attendees if asked AND be present to invite attendees to experience the onsite Prayer Loom.
Exhibit Hall (On stage During Business Sessions) – Located in the main exhibit hall of the St. Charles Convention Center, volunteers will sit and pray quietly on the stage during business sessions for the people and work of the Annual Conference.
Choose as many spots based on your availability by using the [link removed] volunteer sign-up sheet. If there are others in your church who might be interested in volunteering in this way, please feel free to forward this information to them. Those who attend Annual Conference solely for the purpose of volunteering do need to [link removed] register, but the registration fee is waived if they register as a volunteer.
Safe Gatherings Certification
While you’re cleaning this spring, check in on your local church’s Safe Gatherings policy and YOUR Safe Gatherings certification. Safe Gatherings is a third-party abuse prevention system the Missouri Conferences uses for clergy and lay volunteers working with children, youth and vulnerable adults. Every one of our churches has vulnerable people in it so this training is for all our churches. Learn how you can make your church Safe Gatherings-certified: [link removed] www.moumethodist.org/safegatheringsfaqs.
