This is not a request for money. It’s a message about what’s at stake in today’s election.
Please forward this email to every Philadelphia voter you know.
John: For too many Philadelphians, the status quo is simply not working.
Too many families suffer the horror of gun violence. Too many children go to school in crumbling buildings overrun by lead, asbestos, and mold. Too many workers are underpaid, disrespected, and unable to support their families. And too many people have lost faith in our system to fix any of it.
Everything must change. I’m asking for your vote today as the only candidate who’ll fight to truly transform our city — not tinker around the edges.
From day one of this race, our opponents, their wealthy supporters, and the political establishment have called our plans too big. But the truth is their ideas are too small.
With grassroots communities at my side, I’ve spent 30 years taking on fights others said were unwinnable, and John, we’ve done a lot of winning: restoring nurses and counselors to public schools, keeping thousands of renters in their homes, guaranteeing predictable schedules for hourly workers, taking control of our school system back from the state, and so much more.
Today, I’m asking for your vote so we can continue building power and fighting for a better Philadelphia — together.
Together, we’ll finally secure adequate funding for the libraries, rec centers, parks, and green spaces that keep our kids safe, and we’ll transform where our children learn with a Green New Deal for public schools.
Together, we’ll ensure every Philadelphian is safe and feels safe — not only by responding more effectively to crime, but by investing to address the root causes of it. We’ll keep people in their homes, guarantee employment for our youth, and provide mental health support to those who need it.
And together, we’ll build an economy that works for all of us. We’ll support the union way of life, stop corporate landlords from exacerbating our housing crisis, and deliver a municipal Green New Deal that creates good-paying local jobs and combats the climate crisis.
We get the city we fight for, John — so I’m fighting for a city worth living in. This is our moment to build a Philadelphia where public schools are strong, communities are safe, workers are protected, and young people have a future to believe in.
I would be incredibly honored if you cast your ballot for me today, and forward this email to three friends who may do the same. If everyone reading this email does that, I promise you we will win.
Tonight is not the end of this fight; it’s the start of another chapter, a new beginning full of promise and potential. Let’s make it happen together.
