Although Donald Trump was acquitted yesterday, we should be encouraged by the fact that many senators bravely voted to hold him accountable, even at great political risk. One of them was Senator Doug Jones of Alabama. Today, I'm asking for your assistance so we can help him win re-election. The fact is that Senator Jones faced intense pressure to vote to acquit. There are many elected officials who would have bowed to that pressure in a cowardly bid to win re-election. But not him. He did what his conscience -- and his oath to defend the Constitution -- demanded. Senator Jones proved that he has great integrity -- a quality that we desperately need more of in Washington. So we must make sure he stays in the Senate and continues to fight for the best interests of his constituents and our nation.
