Fight for the Future of American Education

In 2019, we launched 50CAN's National Voices Fellowship to address rising political tensions in America and the need to cultivate new leaders who believe in reaching past partisan differences for the good of children. We never imagined that the program would bring together such a diverse, passionate group of people who want to build the future of American education. Our recently launched fifth cohort is our largest yet—14 strong—representing first-generation college graduates, school administrators, nonprofit executives and skilled communicators working tirelessly to create an impact together.
 

Through the National Voices program, we identify the next generation of compelling advocates and spokespeople and support them as they embrace the risk-taking necessary to create the education systems of the future.
 

We've been humbled to have the opportunity to serve as guides to over 50 impressive education leaders from 20 states across the US as they navigate the waters of media, advocacy, communications and policy.

Yet we still need more people, more voices in the education conversation who are willing to work across political and racial divides to protect the gains of the last quarter century of education policymaking and take advantage of the emerging opportunities for progress.
