First things first, thank you all for coming out to vote in the school board caucus. And congratulations to Miranda Turner for receiving the Democratic endorsement for her candidacy for Arlington School Board. We are looking forward to electing her to office in November. Here at AYD, we also would like to recognize and thank Angelo Cocchiaro for running and sharing his vision with all of us.
Now on to present business. Happening TONIGHT, Tuesday, May 16 at 7pm is the Arlington County Board Candidate Debate. The location of the debate is Fairlington Community Center, Room 118.
AYD, alongside ArlDems AAPI, Black, and Latino Caucuses are jointly hosting this debate, and this is the event you do not want to miss.
Early voting [[link removed]] for the June primaries [[link removed]] (separate from the school board endorsement vote) are already under way and if you have yet to cast your vote, this is a great opportunity to learn about the Democratic candidates on the ballot for Arlington County Board. We have six candidates running in the primary for two spots!
