Endorsement Process Update
We have a major update regarding our endorsement process. Due to the large number of submissions, we will be opening our questionnaire portal again to ensure that every prospective candidate has an equitable opportunity to apply. That being said, we will no longer have an endorsement meeting on Thursday, May 18th. Instead, we will meet on Wednesday, May 24th and Thursday, May 25th both at 6:00pm. Both meetings will be virtual. The submission portal will close on Saturday, May 20th at 11:59pm. On Wednesday, May 17th, we will notify candidates and KCYD members of what positions we’ll be discussing on each date. Thank you for being flexible with us as we navigate this process, we appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing you next week! In the meantime, make sure your KCYD membership is up to date, email [email protected] to check if you’re unsure.

YDWA Convention (Spokane, WA) - Friday, May 19th to Sunday, May 21st
Every year the chapters of the Young Democrats of Washington gather for Convention. YDWA offers a schedule of events jam-packed with workshops, panels, and info sessions. Attendees also have fun getting to hang out for the weekend, and enjoy hearing speakers from throughout the political world!

KCYD 2023 Candidate Endorsement Meetings - Wednesday, May 24th and Thursday, May 25th at 6:00pm
An opportunity for KCYD members to voice their opinions for candidates they’re passionate about in this election cycle. A zoom link will be sent out to all members a few days before each meeting.

YDA Convention (Las Vegas, NV) - Sunday, June 18th to Wednesday, June 21st
The Young Democrats of Washington are excited to be going to Las Vegas for the 2023 Young Democrats of America National Convention from June 18-21, 2023. The host hotel will be the MGM Grand right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip.
