We’re all still waiting on the final official results from the Iowa Caucuses, but check out what The Washington Post said this morning about the results so far:

Make no mistake, this is the campaign that can beat Donald Trump in November. The first contest of this primary proved that.

Their analysis shows Pete finishing in first or second place among almost all the larger demographic groups. Take a closer look: 

Out of seven candidates, Pete came in first among all Democratic primary candidates in the following demographic groups: 

• Women
• Voters in the age group 45-64
• College graduates
• Democrats
• Moderates (tied)
• Rural voters
• Health care and climate change issue voters (tied)

Out of seven candidates, Pete came in second among all Democratic primary candidates in the following demographic groups: 

• Men
• Voters in the age groups 17-29 and 30-44
• Non-college graduates (tied)
• Independents 
• Liberals
• Suburban and urban voters
• Foreign policy issue voters
