ICYMI: Earlier this month, Secretary Deb Haaland joined Rep. Gabe Vasquez in Southern New Mexico to announce a $12.6 million grant for an advanced water treatment facility in Alamogordo.
These funds will help address water quality and water shortages by updating technologying, turning contaminated or brackish water into safe drinking water.
As Secretary Haaland said at the announcement, “Water is a sacred resource” — especially in New Mexico.
As we strengthen our communities against climate change, we plan for this new facility to provide more safe water for our families, farmers, and residents.
Bringing taxpayer dollars back to New Mexico to address our biggest issues — like drought resistance — is one of Gabe’s top priorities in Congress. Gabe is delivering for NM-02, but he’s in a tough re-election campaign against a far-right extremist. Can you chip in $5 or more to keep Gabe fighting for us in Congress?
Thanks for reading!
