Yesterday, during the final votes in President Trump’s impeachment trial, every Senate Democrat stood strong and voted to convict and remove the President from office.
That includes my friend and colleague Doug Jones, a red-state Democrat from Alabama, who faced pressure from Republicans to join them and acquit President Trump. But he chose the truth instead, and now the GOP is hoping to make him pay the price for it in November.
Yesterday’s vote proved just how important it is for us to work hard and re-elect our most vulnerable Democratic Senators like Doug Jones. Republicans think Doug will be easy to beat in the November election, but they don’t know he’ll have all of us standing behind him.
