Since Cori's election to the People's House, she has quickly set herself
apart from many of her colleagues.

As a nurse, pastor, mom, Movement for Black Lives activist, and now a
politivist, Cori hasn’t taken off her activist hat since arriving. It
takes a strong leader to walk the tightrope Cori does and be able to do
the organizing on the outside then come inside and negotiate for the
transformative policies our communities need.

Every day, Cori brings her lived experiences to Congress and works 110% to
advocate for the millions of folks who are living the same experiences.
These lived experiences are at the heart of our mission in Congress to
transform and save lives.

We need more leaders like Cori who have the courage to listen to others
and push boundaries. Over her career, Cori has been on the ground and with
the same people she was elected to represent and uses this to inform the
bold legislation that will answer some of the most pressing issues.
