It’s that time of year! Families USA is currently accepting applications for its 2023 Health Equity Academy Fellowship!  


The goal of the fellowship is to cultivate a group of advocates from across the country who are equipped to pursue policy advocacy on health equity at the state, community and/or federal level over a year-long period. In particular, this upcoming Academy will focus on advocacy strategies to advancing health equity in maternal health and oral health policy.    

  

Fellows will attend two virtual half-day trainings in July and Hill visits and a DC outing in December. Fellows will then join a national group of state and community-based health equity advocates who reconvene on bimonthly calls to maintain relationships, discuss strategies for pursuing policy advocacy on health equity in their own states/communities, and learn and share from one another.  

  
Candidates must work at either a community-based or nonprofit organization, or engage in advocacy through a grassroots or community organization, coalition or network.  

The deadline for application submissions is June 13th, 2023.
