Hi Friend,

Last week, the Biden Administration stopped exercising its use of Title 42, a harmful policy implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic that separated families and blocked people from a basic right to even apply for asylum. The policy was always the wrong approach — and its end leaves an even more chaotic situation as thousands and thousands of individuals who have been waiting now seek safety within U.S. borders.

This backlog has left asylum seekers in dire and dangerous conditions. While it’s still unclear what the actual short and long- term challenges of this policy transition will be, we know we have the capacity and ability to welcome those seeking safety within our borders, but we all need to be in this together. Pitch in now to help keep asylum seeking families together and safe. [link removed]

Humanitarian organizations continue to be on the frontlines of welcoming asylum seekers as this harmful policy winds down. They need our financial support in this moment of need to make sure people have food, shelter, transportation, and so much more.

There’s no time to waste. Resources are urgently needed and the Biden Administration is now implementing an asylum transit ban, likely barring individuals and families who are risking their lives to seek protection on U.S. soil through the legal asylum process.

If you can, donate $5 right now to support organizations across the country helping to keep asylum seekers safe. [link removed]

We’re grateful for your help.
