Friend,

Please join me tonight for a powerful online panel and conversation on the need for full decriminalization of drug use and possession in the United States.

You can watch this webinar live on our Facebook page tonight at 8pm ET / 7pm CT / 5pm PT: [link removed]

This conversation will be focused on why decriminalization has worked elsewhere and how it can work in the U.S. to provide people with the support they need, instead of criminalizing them.

DPA Senior Staff Attorney Grey Gardner will be speaking along with Lieutenant Diane Goldstein (Ret.), a 21-year veteran of the Redondo Beach Police Department in California and board chair of the Law Enforcement Action Partnership, and Grace Meng, a senior researcher, advocate, and writer in the US Program at Human Rights Watch.

Panelists will address questions such as: What is decriminalization? Why is criminalization a problem? Why is decriminalization the solution? What are the efforts to reduce drug penalties in the U.S.? And what are other countries’ experiences with decriminalization?

DPA is proud to be hosting this event with Global Exchange, Students for Sensible Drug Policy, and Law Enforcement Action Partnership.

I hope you tune into Facebook tonight to join the conversation: [link removed]  You can also make your voice heard by signing our petition in support of decriminalizing drug use and possession. [link removed]
