Dear John,
Today is the International Day of Families! Here at Caring Across, we’re diligently fighting today and every day to make sure all families get access to the care programs they need to live a good life.
Medicaid is a program that keeps families together. But for disabled children, older adults and people like my brother Chris who is 33 and benefits from the program, it’s all at risk. Congressional leaders want to put a wrench in all the progress we’ve made building access to the program. They want to take Medicaid and other care services away from sick and disabled people, older adults, and veterans in the current budget and debt ceiling negotiations.
We can’t let that happen so we’re taking more than 10,000 of your petition signatures to Congressional leaders to say: We won’t accept cuts to Medicaid!
In honor of the International Day of Families, take action to protect Medicaid. [[link removed]]

Families across the country are already reaching a breaking point when it comes to care, and we can’t afford to make any cuts. But Speaker McCarthy wants to punish our working families while keeping taxes low for the wealthy and big corporations.
We know that Medicaid has overwhelming support among people like you and me – because families depend on this lifesaving source of care. Speaker McCarthy’s proposed work requirements and program cuts would take care away from millions of people, including sick and disabled people, veterans, and older adults.
Congress should make the wealthy and big corporations pay their fair share instead of taking away care from our families. That’s why we’re taking this fight directly to our elected leaders. John, can you take action now to add your support? [[link removed]]

We’ll keep you updated as we continue this fight for care. All of our families, no matter what they look like or what income bracket they’re in, deserve care. We’re fighting to make sure all families can get that care.
With care,
Nicole Jorwic, Chief of Advocacy and Campaigns
