Our entire progressive movement is up against a lot, John. From climate change and Big Oil lobbyists to anti-trans legislation and Speaker McCarthy holding our economy hostage by refusing to raise the debt ceiling — there’s a lot at stake. But I'm not backing down because I know how critical bold leadership is needed to combat the crises we face.
I know how important it is to have a democracy that truly represents the people, and not just the wealthy 1%. And I know that the work we do today will set future generations ahead of us up for success, safety, and security.
These final 24 hours ahead of our mid-month deadline are crucial to making sure our movement has the tools and resources to support our collective work and fight off attacks from the GOP.
The truth is: potential challengers and Republicans look at our campaign to determine the strength and stability of the progressive movement. And if we don’t have the finances and collective power to fight back, we might lose out on key opportunities to make change for our movement.
