Workers at the Fairmont Washington DC, Georgetown, operated by Accor, are not protected by a union contract. Local 25 has negotiated contract with other hotels that include 100% employer-paid healthcare, employer-funded fixed-benefit pensions, protected days off, overtime pay, room quotas for housekeepers, and schedules in advance. Fairmont workers picketed throughout the week last week for a union contract. |
