Dear John,
Senate Republicans – with the notable exception of Mitt Romney – voted yesterday to acquit our conman-in-chief, virtually endorsing Trump cheating to steal the 2020 election.
Already, Fox News is flooding the airwaves with a billionaire-backed misinformation campaign to spin this shameful cover-up as a win for the American people.
We need to double down on our efforts to drown out their propaganda.
Can you chip in right now to help us get out the facts and expose every Senate Republican who enabled this outrageous miscarriage of justice.

John,
No witnesses.
No new documents.
A gross miscarriage of justice.
Republican senators voted yesterday to acquit our lawless president, shredding the Constitution and trampling all over the notion of coequal branches of government.
Trump’s defense team denigrated themselves on the Senate floor with preposterous legal arguments, making the case that soliciting foreign interference in our elections is perfectly legal and acceptable, and that a president has carte blanche to do whatever they want in order to secure re-election.
Even after revelations that John Bolton, Trump’s former national security advisor, alleged he heard Trump explicitly discuss a quid pro quo with him, only two Republican senators broke ranks to vote to subpoena his testimony.
This is despite numerous polls showing that the American public overwhelmingly supported calling witnesses in the trial. Republican senators, who represent 15 million fewer people than Democratic senators, ignored the voice of the American people and rammed through a sham trial anyways.
This is how they justified their complicity:
- Sen. Marco Rubio: "Just because actions meet a standard of impeachment does not mean it is in the best interest of the country to remove a President from office."
- Sen. Lamar Alexander: "It was inappropriate for the president to ask a foreign leader to investigate his political opponent and to withhold United States aid to encourage that investigation…But the Constitution does not give the Senate the power to remove the president from office and ban him from this year's ballot simply for actions that are inappropriate."
- Sen. Lisa Murkowski: "Given the partisan nature of this impeachment from the very beginning and throughout, I have come to the conclusion that there will be no fair trial in the Senate. I don't believe the continuation of this process will change anything. It is sad for me to admit that, as an institution, the Congress has failed."
All along the way, Fox News and the massive right-wing media apparatus worked overtime to amplify Trump’s bogus defenses and normalize his defenders’ nonsensical arguments.
And they’re already going into overdrive to spin this shameful acquittal as a win for America.
We can’t let Trump’s propaganda machine continue controlling the narrative.
Please, if you can, chip in today to help us make hard-hitting videos that spread the truth about Trump’s shameful acquittal and the GOP lackeys responsible for this gross miscarriage of justice.
If we thought Trump was brazen before, there is no telling what he’ll do now that Republicans have given him a blank check to subvert our democracy however he pleases.
Never before have the basic tenets of our government been so threatened. And that’s precisely why we’re ramping up our operation this year.
Just last week, we launched a new YouTube talk show to reach even more Americans with the truth. Taking on all this additional work takes resources — so we need your help more than ever.

On behalf of all of us at Inequality Media, thank you for helping us rise above the lies and reach millions of Americans with the truth.
