Migrants Tell Reporters They Came Specifically Because of Biden’s Immigration Policy
Townhall: CNN suddenly ended an interview after a migrant said he illegally crossed the border because of the recent expiration of Title 42. As a CNN reporter strolled the streets near the U.S.-Mexico border, he stopped to ask a migrant, “Were you aware of Title 42 and that they were going to open the border like before the pandemic?” In response, the migrant said “yes,” telling the reporter that he heard the southern border would be wide open following the Biden Administration’s decision to lift the Trump-era policy and decided to make the trip. The CNN reporter then abruptly thanked the man and quickly ended the interview ( Townhall). RNC Research: CNN: “Were you aware of Title 42 and that they were gonna open the border like before the pandemic?” “Yes.” CNN: “That’s why you came?” “Yes” ( Twitter). Graham Allen: Illegal immigrants are PRAISING Biden for making it EASIER to come into the United States ILLEGALLY ( Twitter)! Townhall: Republican Mayra Flores criticized the Biden Administration for “ignoring the border crisis” and allowing Title 42 to expire. Flores is warning President Joe Biden that his lax open border policies will enable dangerous Mexican cartels to wreak havoc on the country further. “They don’t want to fix this issue because they want to continue using the immigration issue every election cycle to get support from the Hispanic community. Then, once they get the support from the Hispanic community, they toss them aside,” she continued ( Townhall).

Treasure Official Claims President Biden “Didn’t Wait” to Negotiate the Debt Ceiling

RNC Research: “If the threat from default is so dire, why did the president wait until this month to have real negotiations?” Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo: “The president didn’t wait” ( Twitter).

Iranian-Backed Militia Fired Drone that Killed US Contractor from Iraq
Wall Street Journal: An Iranian-backed militia in northern Iraq was behind the drone attack that killed a U.S. military contractor in northeast Syria on March 23 and wounded more than two dozen American civilian and military personnel, according to U.S. officials. The Iraqi origin of that attack has not been previously reported but was acknowledged by a senior U.S. military official Saturday in response to questions from The Wall Street Journal. It was one of four attempted drone attacks launched from Iraqi territory by Iranian-backed militias against U.S. forces outside the country since August. The cross-border strikes illustrate the difficulties the Biden administration faces in the Middle East as it shifts its military focus to deterring China and Russia. It also highlights the challenges the U.S. faces in developing a policy to deal with Iraq 20 years after toppling the regime of Saddam Hussein. The U.S. has 2,500 troops in Iraq advising local forces battling remnants of Islamic State ( Wall Street Journal).

Russia Loses Two Military Commanders, Bomb Missile Strike Civilian Buildings
Reuters: Russia’s Defence Ministry said on Sunday that two of its military commanders were killed in eastern Ukraine, as Kyiv’s forces renewed efforts to break through Russian defenses in the embattled city of Bakhmut. In a daily briefing, the ministry said that Commander Vyacheslav Makarov of the 4th Motorized Rifle Brigade and Deputy Commander Yevgeny Brovko from a separate unit were killed trying to repel Ukrainian attacks. It also said Ukrainian forces waged attacks in the north and south of Bakhmut over the past 24 hours, but that they had not broken through Russian defenses. “All attacks by units of Ukraine’s armed forces have been repelled,” it said ( Reuters). Wall Street Journal: Ukrainian officials, meanwhile, said the Russian missile strikes Saturday night and Sunday morning had hit civilian buildings, not military targets. Ternopil—a western Ukrainian regional capital that has suffered little damage during the war—was hit around the time that a band from the city, Tvorchi, took the stage representing Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest with a tune about the defense of Mariupol. Two people were injured in the strike, according to local officials ( Wall Street Journal).

Gavin Newsom Balks on Reparations Due to Mass Deficit in California
Newsom was just touting a $90 billion surplus and promising reparations. When his reparations council comes up with a massive price tag, he turns around and tells them California does not have the budget. In fact, the Golden State is in the hole $32 billion. Townhall: Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif) is backtracking on slavery reparations proposed by his task force after months of silence on the issue. Earlier this week, Newsom argued that the legacy of slavery “is about more than cash payments” and refused to endorse recommendations made by the task force, which include handing out up to $1.2 million in reparations to the state’s black residents ( Townhall). Associated Press: California’s budget deficit has soared to nearly $32 billion, Gov. Gavin Newsom said Friday as he announced a plan that would cover the shortfall this year while potentially leaving the state with multibillion-dollar deficits in the future. His plan would cut spending by about $10.6 billion while covering the rest of the deficit through a combination of borrowing and delaying some spending while shifting other expenses to different sources ( Associated Press).

Fox News: Dan Snyder has officially agreed to sell the Washington Commanders to a group led by Josh Harris. The deal needs approval from the other NFL owners. Twenty-four of them must approve it before it’s final. The new ownership group includes Harris, his longtime business partner David Blitzer and NBA legend Magic Johnson. Snyder has been under fire in recent years and has faced pressure to sell the team.
