USCRI helps survivors of human trafficking take their lives back.

25 million people worldwide are trapped in forced labor or sexual exploitation through human trafficking. Youth are especially vulnerable and prosecution rates are alarmingly low.

But there is hope.

Our network of 180 sites around the country offers emergency assistance (such as food, clothing, and shelter) and case management to survivors of labor and sex trafficking and their families. We help survivors gain self-confidence and learn how to access critical mental health services, medical care, and legal assistance. With our help, trafficking survivors are empowered to take control of their own lives.

In the past 5 years, USCRI has served over 4,000 survivors of trafficking. Over the next year, we will be greatly expanding our services for foreign-born trafficking survivors and helping many more. We will also begin training other organizations across the U.S. on how to provide trauma-informed care to trafficking survivors.

Next week, learn about our work helping some of the most vulnerable immigrants – children on their own in a strange land.
