We hate sending these emails in the middle of your Sunday. We know your inbox is flooded with a bunch of fundraising asks all claiming “the sky WILL fall!” if you don’t make a donation “right THIS second!” It’s annoying, we get it.

That’s not how we do things. But the truth is we rely on the grassroots donations from emails just like this one to power our work. But we’ve hit a weekend fundraising slump and fewer people are opening these emails, so we have to pick up the pace to make up ground.

Our mid-quarter deadline is just over 24 hours away, and right now, we’re behind. May is a notoriously difficult time for fundraising, but we’re at risk of digging a hole too deep to climb out of.
