John, sorry this email is a bit longer, but it's a very important update. I hope you will take a minute to read it all the way through and when you're done, will you split a $10 donation between my campaign and The Collective PAC?
By now, I’m sure you’ve already been made aware: We were outraised and outspent last quarter by two other candidates in this race. And on top of that, political experts are already predicting this could be the most expensive Senate primary in our nation's history.
But I'm not worried. I don't need to raise the most money in this race – I just need to raise enough to spread my progressive message across the state and win. Because with recent polling showing that a large number of California voters are undecided on who to vote for, victory is well within our reach.
That is why tonight’s midnight fundraising deadline is so important. These next few months will be absolutely critical to the success of this campaign, and I need to make sure I have the resources needed to reach voters and take on any new challenges I may face on the road to Election Day.
Believe me, I know this team is already working incredibly hard on this race, and with your help we raised nearly a million dollars last month alone. I’m incredibly grateful for your support and everything you've done thus far, John. But with just hours until my midnight fundraising deadline, I'm falling short of my $25,000 goal.
