Happy Mother’s Day to all of the wonderful moms in our community. I am so happy that Lauren and I will be spending some quality time together today dining and relaxing!

I’m sure many of you know the pride and gratitude parents sometimes feel for their child’s accomplishments. For me, it’s watching my daughter day in and day out as she serves our community in Congress. 

I couldn’t be prouder of all of the amazing things Lauren has accomplished in the past year. From delivering the Health Care Affordability Act, signed into law as part of the Inflation Reduction Act, to lower the cost of health care premiums, to leading the effort to end the Black maternal health crisis, her work is changing lives for people here in the 14th and nationwide.

This Mother’s Day, I’m especially grateful for all of the work she’s done to help our community as a strong, determined leader in Congress. Staying true to our values, she’s continuing to support working families and expand access to quality, affordable health care.

Lauren is dedicated to solving problems and putting our neighbors first — I know she is because that’s how she was raised. 

The campaign is gearing up for a competitive election — and there is a tough battle ahead. I do hope you’ll join me in helping her prepare for the hard work which must be put in to win in 2024.
