Yesterday, Roy vetoed legislation that would severely restrict abortion access and infringe upon women’s rights in North Carolina.

Now, the fight for reproductive freedom in our state continues. In the next few days, extremist Republican legislators will attempt to overturn his veto. And we know they won’t stop there.

Republicans have gerrymandered our state to give them a supermajority in the state legislature so they can override the will of the Governor – and the people – to pass extremist bills just like this abortion ban bill.

We’ve broken their supermajorities before, and we can do it again.

Protecting women’s rights and abortion access in our state depends on electing more pro-choice candidates all across the state.
