Hi John,

This Mother's Day, I'm thinking of all the amazing moms that are a part of Team Moore-Miller.

I'm thinking of Aruna's mom, Hema, and my mom, Joy. Two extraordinary women who came to this country with hope in their hearts, not just for themselves, but for future generations. They are proof that in Maryland, anything is possible.

I'm thinking of Aruna, who has three daughters of her own. And who has fought for moms as a public servant, a delegate in our state House, and now as our lieutenant governor.

I'm thinking of my amazing wife and partner, Dawn, who has been with me through my time in the Army, running a small business, and the harrows of the campaign trail. She is a true light, and Maryland is lucky to have her as our first lady.

We are lucky on Team Miller-Moore to be surrounded by so many amazing mothers. Please join me in showing them how cherished they are by signing our Mother's Day card to them.

And of course, I'm wishing a Happy Mother's Day to all of the amazing moms across Maryland. You are the backbones of your families, your communities, and our state. For too long, our country has left you behind with a heavier and heavier load. I want you to know I see you and am fighting every day to lighten your burdens.

P.S. I couldn't let this day pass without a mention of my grandmother Mama Win, on whose shoulders I stand. I miss her every day, and feel blessed beyond measure that she was able to vote for me – at 95-years-old – before she passed. Love you forever, Mama Win.
