We need your help to stop an anti-wildlife special interest group proposal. Wolves’ lives are at stake!

Help protect wolves!

Dear Friend of Defenders,

Idaho is once again trying to turn back the clock on recovery for wolves.

The latest scheme making its way through the state legislature and Fish and Game Commission would create “wolf-free zones.” These zones would let hunters and trappers kill wolves all year round.

We’re working to stop the vicious killing, and we need your help.

Help protect Idaho wolves and other wildlife you love with your urgent gift right now!

Hundreds of Idaho gray wolves are killed every year in Idaho by hunters, trappers and government agents. This heinous proposal would expand the killing even further.

Special interest groups say this proposal is to protect cattle ranchers from attacks on livestock. But Friend of Defenders, they’re wrong: killing more wolves has been proven ineffective at reducing wolf-livestock conflicts.

We need your help to stop this anti-wildlife special interest group proposal - please make a generous gift today!

Idaho already has a taxpayer-funded hunting program to eradicate what are claimed to be ‘problem wolves.” As the Trump administration continues to turn its back on wolf conservation, Idaho anti-wolf interests are filling the vacuum with new lethal attacks on these majestic animals.

And the special interest groups behind these attacks would rather see wolves shot, even if it doesn’t protect livestock or communities.

We’re not letting them kill off Idaho’s wolves without a fight. Join us in stopping assaults on our most vulnerable animals!

GIVE TO SAVE WOLVES >>

While the Idaho Fish and Game Commission considers approving these wolf extermination zones, Defenders is already pulling out all the stops to flood the Commission with comments by Idaho residents, many of whom passionately oppose the state’s endless war on wolves.

Your support keeps us in this fight – that’s why we’re coming to you, while the need is so urgent. Will you help save wolves and vulnerable wildlife with your gift?

Wolf reintroduction is a beautiful story with an unfinished ending. With your help, we’ll end these attacks and see wolf populations across the West flourish and grow.

Thank you, Friend of Defenders, for all you do for the wildlife you love.

Sincerely,

Jamie Rappaport Clark
