John, every time there is mass shooting in this country that makes headline news, the horrific memories of losing my own son to gun violence come rushing back. 

And what really makes me sick is watching shooting after shooting after shooting occur, while Republican leaders refuse to take any action to stop the repeated losses of life. 

If you haven’t been following what’s been going on in Austin, Texas – you’re about to get angry: It’s been just one week since the horrific mass shooting in Allen, Texas, and instead of working to pass sensible gun reforms, Republicans in Texas are working to actually loosen gun laws, not strengthen them.
