We’re less than 72 hours away from Washington’s mandatory freeze on fundraising. Due to the unexpected “30 Day Special Session,” all state officials are prohibited from fundraising, including Bob.
This is not something our team planned for or expected. Just last week, the Governor called a “30 Day Special Session” starting on Tuesday. Consequently, any time the legislature is in session, the freeze goes into effect for all state officials.
When we launched Bob’s Exploratory Campaign for Governor, our team made a plan to fundraise for the entire month of May — now we are losing time due to this session freeze.
While we can’t raise a dollar during this time, we know that our GOP opponents won’t be taking a break and will try to use this time to raise money to support the eventual GOP nominee for governor.
As Governor, Bob would work to hold powerful special interests accountable and continue his national leadership protecting reproductive rights, standing up for workers’ rights, and protecting our environment for the next generation.
