Happy National Nurses Month!

Every day, nurses provide quality care to the health and well-being of their patients, and for this service to their communities, we are eternally grateful.

We’d like to take this opportunity to highlight and advocate for issues in the nursing profession and health care system including staffing concerns, improving working conditions and increasing investment in nursing education and research. The more we can amplify these needs, the better chance they’ll get the attention they require.

This month’s observance is important for many reasons, including acknowledging nurses’ vital role in our health care system and the essential care they provide. It’s a time to educate folks about the wide range of critical support and care they give and how their health care knowledge and experience puts them in a unique position to lead.

Did you know that Lauren is one of just three nurses in Congress? We are proud of her work for nurses and the well-being of our communities as we recognize, honor and celebrate nurses across the country. Working together, we can ensure she can continue advocating for nurses and our communities in Washington.
