Hello,

Friends and neighbors,

There is a lot of activity happening at the capitol right now. Democrats dropped two controversial gun control provisions into their public safety bill, and we are still working on a potential bonding bill to address infrastructure projects. I will send another update early next week when we (hopefully) have a little more information about those bills in the Senate.

In the meantime, I wanted to say Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms out there! I am grateful to know a number of great moms, none more than my wife Brittany and my mom Deb. Thank you to all the mothers out there for all that you do!

Saturday is the fishing opener! The DNR has a long tradition of celebrating both with their “Take a Mom Fishing” event. It is an opportunity to get more folks out on the water by offering all moms the opportunity to fish for free without a license. There are also challenges and random drawings you can take part in.

Read the bulletin from the DNR for more information. https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/events/event.html?id=54717

Good luck everyone and have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Justin D. Eichorn
