We’re gearing up for a tough fight ahead to re-elect Summer. Outside dark
money fueled our opposition last election — and if the current PA local
elections are any indication, we need to be prepared for even more money
to flood our GOP opponent’s campaign this time around.

Need proof? Republicans and fracking interests are spending over $200,000
in just ONE week attacking Sara Innamorato, a progressive people-powered
candidate running to become Allegheny County’s first woman Executive with
negative, sexist TV ads.

We out-organized special interests before,
John, and we'll do it again. But
it’s going to take a tremendous amount of resources to fight back against
powerful super PACs and billionaires who want to see our movement lose.

We know November 2024 seems like a lifetime away, but Summer already has a
GOP opponent! And the earlier we fundraise, the more organizing,
advertising, and all-out campaigning we can do in the lead up to Election
Day.

In 2022, our opposition saw what we could do — what people power could do.
In response, they spent millions on racist, sexist TV attack ads that
flat-out lied about Summer.

But Summer won that historic race to represent Western Pennsylvania and
everyday working people in spite of dark money politics. That wasn’t by
accident. We built a powerful, grassroots movement together and won
because the people of PA-12 believe in a vision of clean air and water,
safe jobs with liveable wages, and guaranteed health care.
