Hello John,

My name is Dr. Abdul El-Sayed. You may remember me from my 2018 run for Governor in Michigan.

I was honored to have earned the support of Democracy for America members nationwide. One of the reasons I was so grateful to earn DFA's support is because we both understand that healthcare is a human right. EVERY American deserves real healthcare, without co-pays, deductibles, or premiums that force many to choose between medicine and paying rent. You and I know that insurance company CEOs earning millions shouldn’t be standing in the way of someone in need of care.

Many of us watched the Iowa Caucuses on Monday with anticipation -- only to see the results get delayed and then muddled. But one thing WAS clear: Medicare for All won.

Candidates running on Medicare for All took two of the top three spots. We really shouldn't be surprised. When nearly 60% of all caucus-goers reported supporting Medicare for All, it’s no wonder our candidates did so well.

Today, I'm working with Medicare for All NOW! an organization dedicated to winning the fight nationwide and we have big plans to make an impact in South Carolina. Whether you can give $7 or $70, please contribute the resources to win right now >>

The momentum we created in Iowa has to continue. That's why we're leading the charge in South Carolina -- one of the most critical states in this primary for Medicare for All. Why is it so important? Because opponents of Medicare for All have gone all out here and they think it could be their biggest win.

We’re going to prove them wrong.

Right now, corporations are spending millions against us with glossy ads and actors pretending to be a neighbor and spreading misleading information or even outright lying about Medicare for All.

That's why it's so important we have organizers on-the-ground canvassing door to door. Actual neighbors talking to neighbors about why healthcare is a human right, answering questions about costs and coverage and most importantly, dispelling misinformation spread by the healthcare industries and the candidates they support.

John, this is where we need your help. Every $25,000 we raise will put 20 organizers on the ground and help us reach our ambitious goal of 150,000 doors knocked in communities all over South Carolina before Election Day. Will you pitch in immediately to make sure we win?

As a Doctor and former Detroit Health Commissioner, I saw firsthand what a lack of healthcare meant for far too many Americans. It's why I believe so strongly in Medicare for All.

I also know, when we break through the corporatist talking points against us and voters learn the truth about Medicare for all, we win.

Let's work together and get it done.

Yours for justice and healthcare,

--Abdul
