** Aloha mai kākou,

Mahalo nui to everyone who attended and participated in the 2023 State Convention in Hilo. I am honored to have been elected and am ready to serve as the Vice Chair of Communications. Thank you for the support, encouragement and willingness to communicate. I have received several messages over the last few days with suggestions, creative ideas and critical feedback.

I look forward to working with all of you in some capacity to improve both internal and external communications. A few of our ideas include updating the outdated website with informative content and a current calendar; sending out “Member Spotlight” emails highlighting a party member or members doing extraordinary work in the community and relaying updates from the national and local legislative front.

We will create strong messaging to the public about our desperate need for change and balance and showcase the good work our elected officials have done. Together, we will grow the party and get more Republicans elected to office. We can start today by forwarding this email to friends and family who may be interested in joining the party. Thank you all for your patience as we work through this transition of new officers and prepare for the Run-Off election process. We are doing our due diligence to ensure the proper procedures are followed and HRP State Rules are adhered to. Rest assure a valid and fair process will take place in order to complete this committee and we will present that information to all of you as it becomes available.
